Brooklyn is known for having great Kosher restaurants, but there were no authentic Argentinean steakhouses like El Gaucho Glatt. Shmuel David, with vast knowledge in restaurant management, wanted to o...ffer the Kosher community the exciting experience of eating an authentic Argentinean steak. He exerted every effort to offer quality in each aspect of the dining experience: food, décor and service.
Argentinean coooking draws influence from the simple but delicious recipes used in gaucho meals. The gaucho’s asado (barbecue) consisted of a fire made on the ground or in a fire pit and surrounded by metal sticks that held the entire carcass of an animal split open to receive the heat from the fire. We replicate that technique today. Our meat is of the highest quality, and is cooked in the traditional Argentinean style. Using a state-of-the-art radiant grill, the meat is not touched by the flames, but only by the heat of the fire. We serve our asado on individual small table grills parrillas keeping the meat warm and sizzling.
